Seasonal Weight and Speed Restrictions
The Mason County Road Commission announces that seasonal weight and speed restrictions will go into effect on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 6:00 a.m., until further notice. All county roads will be restricted by reducing the maximum axle load by 35% per axle and limiting truck speeds to 35 mph.
Weight and speed restrictions are enforced to minimize road damage during Michigan’s seasonal thaw.
