Bonding Requirement – $25,000 per permit
The Mason County Road Commission requires a $25,000 bond for all construction and utility permits. A letter of credit, letter of indemnification, cash deposit, or other acceptable commitment may be used in place of a bond.
Commercial Driveway – The Mason County Road Commission requires a $20,000 bond or the cost of the work, whichever is greater, payable to the Mason County Road Commission.
Insurance Requirements
The Mason County Road Commission requires a Certificate of Insurance to accompany all permit applications and remain effective for the duration of the permit. The certificate must state that “The Mason County Road Commission, its board, and all employees of the Mason County Road Commission are named as additional insured.”
Minimum required insurance coverage includes:
- Property Damage Liability: $1,000,000 per occurrence
- Bodily Injury Liability: $1,000,000 per occurrence
- Bodily Injury Liability: $5,000 per person
- Workers’ Compensation: Statutory coverage
