Director of Finance & Administration
The Mason County Road Commission is seeking qualified applicants for the Position of Finance Director/Office Manager. The applicant will have considerable knowledge and understanding of: general ledger accounting and accounting terminology, transaction codes and procedures used in a complex computerized financial management system; office procedures and proven ability to exercise discretion, good judgment and take initiative. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office applications is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, accounting or related area is desirable; Five years responsible work experience in finance and/or accounting with an emphasis on governmental or public agency accounting preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Design Engineer / Senior Engineering Technician – Closed
Mason County Road Commission is accepting applications for the position of Design Engineer / Senior Engineering Technician.
Successful applicant shall lead the Engineering Department in the preparation of documents for construction and maintenance plans of federal, state, and county/township projects within an Autodesk Civil 3D / Softree and ESRI GIS software environment. Assist in surveying and construction inspection, develop right-of-way description and acquisition, and other engineering duties. Mason County Road Commission maintains 952 miles of roadway, 40 bridges, and 164 MDOT lane miles.
Desirable qualifications are a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology, with 5 years design experience or equivalent on-the-job experience in using Autodesk Civil 3D / Softree and AutoCAD. Experience with ESRI Arc GIS software is desired. Must be organized and multi-task oriented and capable of controlling and organizing high levels of work activity. Ability to deal with people courteously and effectively. Work satisfactorily with other employees.
